Conversion Spec Guide
A Step By Step Guide To Choosing The Spec Of Your New Camper
(We recommend viewing this page on a desktop or laptop for the best experience)
We put this page together to help you navigate the decision making process for your upcoming conversion...

If you are making these decisions remotely this guide should be a big help to you. If you get stuck we are also available on the phone and email and we can also send you samples in the post if required.
If you are coming into our office to choose your spec, we still recommend having a read through this guide prior to coming in to see us, so you can familiarise yourself with the decisions that need to be made.
Below is a list of the conversion features that require you to make a choice in terms of colour and style as well as the extras and accessories that we offer which may be of interest.
We have put each item in an order that makes the most sense based on how each feature fits together in the overall look of your completed camper.
You will find an image of each colour choice as well as a link to a walk-around video if we have built a camper in the past using that colour, as an example.

Step #1 Roof Canvas & Roof Top
There are 12 colour choices for the roof canvas but most of our customers opt for a black or charcoal canvas as these colours suit most van colours, but everyone has their own personal taste.
You also have the choice of a black or white roof top as standard, or we can colour
code the roof to match the colour of your van, this will incur a cost of £500 + VAT.

Step #2 Furniture Colour
The furniture is the biggest block of colour inside your camper, so a good place to
start is to work out whether you want the interior to be light or dark.
We have a huge choice of colours for the furniture board so unfortunately we can’t
show you an example of every colour we offer on this page. But we have included 12 of the most popular colours.
If we have used a particular colour in a camper previously we have also included a link to a walk-around video to show you how it looks in the back of a camper.

Splash-back
You also have a choice of splash-back colour which is the piece of acrylic at the back
of the kitchen units which the blind sits in.
There are several colours to choose from, but we recommend either light grey or
white as the other colour choices are quite bright.

Step #3 Worktop & Table Colour & Position
When it comes to the worktop and table you have a choice of solid oak or acrylic
and the option you choose will depend on your personal taste and whether you are
wanting a classic look using the oak, or a more contemporary brighter look with the
acrylic.
You could opt for an acrylic worktop and table to match the acrylic splashback, but
most of our customers go for a light grey splashback and a white acrylic worktop and table for a bit of contrast.
You can see an example of a camper with a light grey splashback and a white acrylic worktop and table HERE

You can also choose whether you want your table positioning in the floor centrally or on the rail which means you can slide it along into different positions.
Step #4 Upholstery Colour & Style
There are three decisions to be made when it comes to the upholstery, the colour of
the material, the colour of the stitching and the stitching pattern.
Like the furniture we have a huge amount of colour choice available for the upholstery fabric, so if you have a particular colour in mind let us know and we will send you some samples.
We recommend contrasting the upholstery with the furniture but keeping it a similar colour.

Platin

Champagne

Laurel

Perle

We also offer two styles of stitching pattern, Ribbed and Bentley and we can match
the stitching colour to your upholstery, or you can choose a contrasting colour.

Step #5 Flooring Colour
The flooring in your camper is also a large block of colour so it’s a good idea to
choose a colour that compliments and contrasts the furniture and upholstery you have chosen.
The other thing to consider is the upkeep of your floor because you will more than
likely be getting in and out of the camper with muddy boots and maybe a dog, so the lighter the flooring the harder it will be to keep clean.
Having said that we use Altro vinyl which is a very hard-wearing material, and it is easy enough to wipe down.
You can see our range of eight colour choices below, and we have recently added some wood effect vinyl to the range which we will be adding to this page soon.

You can also browse through the walk-around videos in our YouTube channel to get
some inspiration, if you find one you like just send us a link to the video.

Step #6 Tamba Door & Fridge Colour
The Tamba door is the bread bin style door that goes on the wardrobe cupboard to
the right of the furniture units.
We have a choice of eight colours and most of our customers choose silver, matte black or gloss black depending on the rest of their colour choices.

Again, we recommend having a browse through our YouTube videos to see some
examples and to get some inspiration.

Step #7 Vanshades Blind Colour
The colour of the blinds is the last choice you need to make on the interior, and we leave this until last as it’s easier to decide once you have chosen the furniture and upholstery colours.
Although Vanshades transform the interior of a camper and totally black out the light, we feel that the choice of colours could be better, and we usually recommend two colours that go with most colour combinations, which is Slate and Raven.
Having said that if you are wanting to add a splash of colour and be a bit playful with the interior then some of the other colours might just be for you.
