Do you only convert VW Transporters?

Yes, we made the decision to focus purely on the VW Transporter from the day we started the business. There are a few reasons for this, one is because the demand is always high for VW campers and it's consistent. But the reason for that is the VW Transporter is one of the most reliable vehicles on UK roads and they hold their value extremely well. We also choose to focus on the Transporter so that we remain a specialist UK converter.

Question 2

Can I mix and match the features from different packages?

Yes, you are welcome to add or remove some of the features of the packages. For example if you went for the Explorer PRO package and you wanted gas rather than induction we can do that. You can also choose to remove the exterior trim and upgraded alloys from any of the packages. We are as accommodating as possible, within reason!

What's included in the extras?

We have a number of extras which can be added to any of our conversion packages. The main add- ons tend to be the RIB bed sliding rail system and two-tone paint, but we also have a number of other extras you can add to your package. Just go to the 'Packages' page which is a drop down from the 'Conversions' tab in the menu.

Are your conversions UK compliant?

The camper conversion market is currently unregulated by any government organisation, which is why you do have to be very careful when it comes to choosing a converter, and it pays to do your research. As a team we have been building VW campers for over 20 years and we live and breathe it. Our technicians are qualified tradesman, from joiners to electricians, and all our vans are electrically certified. We are also currently going through the process of being VW approved to give our customers even more peace of mind.

How long does a build take?

There is usually a 3-5 week wait time to secure a conversion slot from the initial phone call. Once we start your conversion your camper will be ready to drive away within in 3-4 weeks.

Do I need an appointment to visit

Accepted Answer

We do all our visits and viewing by appointment to ensure we are available when you arrive. If you are passing feel free just to drop in, but we can't guarantee we will be available.

Can we book a video call instead?

Accepted Answer

We sometimes do have video calls with our customers who live a long way from us, or we can just hop on a telephone call initially. The best thing to do is schedule a 'Fact Finder' call at a time that suits you, and Sam will give you a call for a chat.

What happens after I send an enquiry on the website?

It depends on the nature of your enquiry, but if you are serious about working with us through our Source & Convert service, or you are wanting to reserve a van/conversion package, we would usually suggest coming to see us face to face initially, so we can talk through options and answer any questions you have. If you are a long way from us we can complete the full process remotely if preferred.

How does your warranty work?

We offer all our customers a 24 month warranty on the conversion, which includes all the interior and exterior modifications we have done to the van. We rarely have warranty issues, but if you do have a niggle or something does go wrong then we are very quick to sort out the problem. Which can usually be done over the phone. For anything more serious we would need you to bring the van back to us. It is also worth noting that nothing we do within the conversion will void the VW warranty.

Do you offer finance?

Yes, every one of our campers can be financed, the whole cost or just part of it, through our finance broker, Pegasus Finance. Terms can be spread over up to 15 years so you can have the camper you actually want, without the need to use a huge chunk of your hard earned cash! You can find out what the monthly payment will be based on the amount you would like to borrow, and the period of time you would like to spread the cost, using our Finance Calculator. You will find that on the 'Finance' tab in the main menu.

Can I reserve a vehicle outside of business hours?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can reserve any of our available vehicles on our website for just £99 at any time of day. As soon as you have paid the deposit you will be sent some information on the next steps. We offer a full refund within 48 hours should you decide not to move forward. Just click the 'Reserve' button on the page of the van you are interested in, or head to the 'Shop' in the menu and you will find our Reserve Vehicle option.
